Context
How do you deliver a sober message through a comic script? To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the font Comic Sans, Karoshi were invited to design a poster for the Comic Sans for Cancer Exhibition in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Idea & difference
1994 saw the launch of Comic Sans, but also the passing of Jackie Kennedy Onassis from non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Choosing to simultaneously mark both events, we created a stylised portrait by reducing the typeface to a tonal, ASCII-style pattern.
